Every roster is divided into five levels. Top/near elite, top starters, starters at a low level, backups and backups of low-level. The developers of Madden also made small improvements to the archetypes for players. This new system is little more precise than the one we had been used to during last year's game. For instance the term "west coast" quarterback is now classified as an"improviser. The Possession Receiver is now a route runner and others. This lets EA to focus on the strengths of each player and classify them as accurately as is possible.

My main complaint with the overhaul of ratings is the impact it has on certain teams with lower ratings that play buy Madden 25 coins.
